Cookie Policy

Effective: March 1, 2025Last updated: March 1, 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Vigilix Cyber Services FZ-LLC ("Vigilix", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website at vigilixcyberservices.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides additional detail on how we handle personal information.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give website owners analytical information.

In addition to traditional cookies, similar technologies include web beacons (pixel tags), local storage objects, and session storage. This policy covers all such technologies collectively.

2. Our Current Use of Cookies

Our website is a static marketing site with no application-level cookies currently set by Vigilix. Specifically:

  • We do not use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar services are not currently installed)
  • We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies
  • We do not use functional preference cookies (no language/locale setting, no consent preference stored)
  • Our contact form does not use session cookies or CSRF tokens — submissions are sent directly via an API request
  • We do not use social media tracking pixels (LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel, etc.)

As a result, no cookie consent banner is shown, as none is currently required. Our website currently does not set any first-party cookies.

3. Hosting Infrastructure

Our website is delivered via a content delivery network (CDN). CDN and hosting infrastructure providers may set their own technical cookies or use server-side session identifiers for the purpose of load balancing, performance optimisation, and security. These are strictly technical in nature and do not track your browsing behaviour or collect personal information beyond what is captured in standard web server logs.

We do not control these infrastructure-level mechanisms and they do not identify you personally. Standard web server log data (IP address, user-agent, page requests, timestamps) is covered in our Privacy Policy.

4. Google Fonts

Our website uses Google Fonts to load typefaces. We have configured Next.js to self-host all fonts — meaning font files are downloaded to our own server at build time and served directly from our domain. No requests are made to Google's servers when you visit our site, and no Google Fonts cookies are set.

5. Future Use of Cookies

We may introduce analytics, functional, or marketing cookies in the future to improve our website and better understand our audience. If and when we do:

  • We will update this Cookie Policy before deploying any new cookies
  • Where required by applicable law (e.g. under GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive), we will display a cookie consent notice and obtain your consent prior to placing any non-essential cookies
  • You will have the ability to accept or decline non-essential cookies

6. Your Browser Controls

Regardless of cookies set by Vigilix, your web browser gives you control over cookies from all websites. You can typically:

  • View and delete cookies stored on your device
  • Block cookies from specific websites or all third parties
  • Set your browser to notify you when cookies are placed
  • Clear cookies when you close your browser

Browser controls vary. Refer to your browser's help documentation for specific instructions. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of other websites you visit.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. As our website currently does not set tracking cookies or use client-side analytics, DNT signals have no practical effect on your experience. We will revisit our response to DNT signals if we introduce analytics or tracking in the future.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy whenever our use of cookies changes materially — including if we introduce new cookies or third-party services. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Where required by law, we will seek renewed consent before placing new non-essential cookies.
